Bill Platis
President
Since 2001 Bill Platis, Arkuda’s founder and president has been working towards his goal of developing and expanding Arkuda while building relationships with his customers and clients throughout Canada and the United States.
Daniel Savino
Senior Advisor
Originally from Vancouver, Daniel relocated to South East Asia and became the co-founder of Duck Fat Ventures, establishing a presence in retail restaurants and boutique hotels. Having assisted many business ventures over the years, working primarily as adviser and financier, Daniel brings nearly two decades of experience aiding companies in achieving growth and business expansion. He holds a degree from Langara College in International Business/International Finance and completed the CSC/CPH credentials from the Canadian Securities Institute.
Marco Faccone
Strategic Advisor
Marco has extensive experience in managing the needs of entrepreneurs and their private companies. Marco worked in public practice as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) for 13 years where he gained considerable experience in providing tax and financial planning services to his owner-managed clients. Marco has a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and is a Trust and Estate Practitioner with STEP Canada. With this background, Marco has provided many shareholders with valuable advice associated with their personal and corporate net worth and cashflows, including the assessment and addressing of risk management needs and the identification of areas to increase efficiencies and improve overall results. Marco also currently operates as an incorporated insurance broker licenced in the province of British Columbia (through MGF Advisory Inc), where he services the needs of individual and owner-managed clients in the areas of fee-based planning, life and income benefit insurance coverage and segregated fund investments needs.
Geroy Simon
Director of Business Development
Geroy is a former professional athlete in the NFL and CFL for 17 years. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Simon is a 3 time Grey Cup Champion 2006, 2011 and 2013. Most Outstanding player award 2006, all time leader in receiving yards in the CFL and most recently honored as a member of the Canadian Football Hall of fame in 2017. Geroy brings his elite leadership and relationship skills to Arkuda and will focus on growth and development and continuing to grow the brand throughout both Canada and the US.
Taryn Dakha
Senior Operations Manager
A native of Vancouver, BC, Taryn was one of Canada’s finest figure skaters representing BC in numerous National competitions. After retiring as an amateur she then went on to tour the world with Disney on Ice. Taryn has been in the commercial cleaning business since 2010 and her extensive knowledge and attention to detail will assist Arkuda in thriving as leaders in industry.
JC Boutros
Strategic Advisor
JC has over 15 years of experience in the contract commercial services industry. As partner at a North American facilities services company, JC helped scale the company from ~8mm ARR to ~45mm ARR leading growth, operations and team building across western Canada and in regions in the US with the CEO. JC also lead operations and marketing with Canada’s #1 waste diversion and recycling brokerage team when they entered new markets in Canada amid exceptionally fast growth. The company earned a spot as Canada’s Fastest Growing industrial services company. JC has also worked with technology companies advising on partnership strategies and funding.
Today JC is partner and founder at his own facilities services business, and researches and formulates strategic operations process opportunities for clients and assists the Arkuda team on smart Sustainability initiatives initiatives supported by IoT tools and dedicated labour complimenting hardware and reporting.
JC earned his MBA from UNBC and is active in the lower mainland supporting not-for-profits, and youth entrepreneurial initiatives.
